Top 5 Books To Read During The Lockdown
It's a no brainer that this lockdown is proving to be boring for most of us. With so much going on in the world, I am sure we have no right to complain about just sitting at home.
But over time it can definitely get super boring and you might have run out of new ideas to make the most out of this rare time we've got.
Eventhough some of us have definitely gone through with achieving new goals and making this a time hit , most of us still remain lying in front of the TV hogging a bag of chips not really knowing how to use all this time that we now have.
Well, there is something productive which every single one of us can do through this time without going out and putting our lives at risk and that is READING BOOKS ! Yes! Even if you are a reading junkie and want to finish a certain number of books or you are just planning to try something different other than the social media world for once then here are five of my all time favourite books to help you get off the TV and social media and start reading.
Also, if you are worried that you won't find these books or might have to go out and buy them , then don't fret ,because I have the free links of the online versions of the books attached below.
So, Let’s Get Started !
- 1.The Harry Potter Series by J.K.Rowling
Who doesn't like Harry Potter? We've all watched the movies but have you ever read the book?
I can guarantee you there are so many incidents in the book which were not in the movie.
So, just to give you an overview , 'The Harry Potter Series" deals with a young boy who lives with his aunt and uncle after his parents die. His maternal aunt , who hates anything out of the normal, tries to make sure that Harry is not made aware of his abilities to practice wizardry by treating him as if he doesn't exist and punishing him for doing anything out of the normal even by mistake.
Once he gets a letter from Hogwarts , The best school of witchcraft and wizardry , he gets a whole new life , from the boy living under the stairs he transforms through the years and has a whole ton of adventures that help him become one of the best wizards the magical world has ever known.
So, the reason why I like this book or rather love it is because with all the stuff going on in the world , this one provides an escape into our childhood fantasy land.
J.K.Rowling is such an amazing author that her words become your imagination and you will never realize how time passed by while reading her stories. Also , who wouldn’t want a little magic every now and then.

- 2. Everything Is F*cked- A book about hope by Mark Manson
I am pretty sure you must have at least heard about Mark Manson or his book. This book is the second book after ‘The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck’.
And this book is a book like no other. The kind of examples provided and the reasons explained behind people’s actions and why everyone’s opinion is not needed is written so well in this book .
One thing I can guarantee you is that this book will provide you a different outlook on life and people.
Overall this is one amazing book from which you can take away so many life lessons and change your mind for the better.
It also tells you how not to stress over things going wrong. As the title says , this book provides you with hope and makes you think positive or rather 'not to care' about the negative because as the saying goes ‘We can only see the positive when there is a negative'.

- 3.Nancy Drew (by Carolyn Keene), Hardy Boys ( by David Robbins) and Enid Blyton Stories
These three are put under the same title because all of these books are for kids and teens.
Nancy Drew and Hardy boys are similar stories with female and male protagonists. The major genre of both these books are suspense , thriller and mystery.
The protagonists in these books try to solve missing cases, thefts or murders with their close observations and witty minds.
The reason why I love these books is because with a sense of mystery in them , you wouldn't get a night's sleep without finding out who the culprit is . The storyline of these books range from ancient folklore to recent identity thefts.
These are the books which will keep you occupied for hours.

- 5. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid - Jeff Kinney
This book is an amazing satirical fiction based on the life of a boy ( Greg Heffley ) and his misadventures at school and at home. This book is actually meant for children but it is also a fun book to read for adults.
Filled with funny cartoons and being written like a true diary , this book connects directly with the reader and takes them into an amazing world of a crazy family and all their adventures.
It doesn't really have a moral to every story but it's one of the books that you could just dive into without a second thought because it's going to keep you trapped in the story till the end of the book.
And trust me , you can never get bored even after reading it a hundred times!
